Not illegal, immoral or fattening. BUT, if you take quotations out of the Bible and use them in a novel, you have to give an attribution, just as though it were any other book you were quoting from.

No, it is not. If you are using them in dialog, you are safest with the King James version, since it is not copyrighted.

If you are using it as a quote at the beginning of a chapter, the usual form is to cite the work, so you would give chapter and verse and maybe version.

If you don't want to use the KJV, just contact the publisher for the version you do want to use, I'm sure they'll give you permission (which will end up in the bibliographic data on the verso, IIRC).

It might not be illegal since the good book is quoted reproduced edited, faxed, motion pictured, play produced, satirized, musicality, and touted in every fashion, style and way, but look out for those huge thunder bolts from the sky, and don't say you weren't warned!!!! Also since there has been a person or two that returned from the dead, I've been told, you might look out for a law suite in the future!

In the front of your bible, the publisher makes a note about how many verses you can put in your own work without having written permission from them. For example, it's says you're not allowed to have an entire chapter or just copy the whole thing.. but you are definitely allowed to use quotations from it.
You'll have to check there to read it all.. :)

lol um dunno ask your publisher if you don't have one ask one (it doesn't have to be yours) plus all i can think of is that you have to mark down a quote (were you got it from)
not sure,
