It depends what you are looking for. I recently graduated w/ a degree in Sociology and I began working for a non-profit doing down payment assistance programs for first time home buyers. I didn't enjoy it and the pay was alright. Work in the public sector such as nursing, or social work type stuff will certainly be available to you, but the pay wont be that great, if that matters to you. Basically, as others have stated, a masters or advanced degree will give a much better advantage and open you up to higher pay and other careers.

most ologies don't do much for you unless you have a post grad degree, the worst might be sociology. On the bright side, soc. and nursing go well together, you should be able to find some kind of niche in the nursing field.

Nursing will definitely pay off on the long run. With a degree in sociology I know that you can go into some type of social work or counseling. You should google it.
