Psychology is a study of the mind and the behavior of indivudals or how groups affect the individual. Sociology is the study of society as a whole, and the dynamics of large groups of people. With a psychology degree you could become a therapist, social worker, school counceilor...I dunno. And sociologists would probably get some sort of work in an academic institution; you'd be a researcher or a professor, most likely.

Psychology is the study of the human mind and why people act the way they do as individuals. Sociology studies societies as a whole.
