whats the differnce between a etek ego and a etek ego 2?
Also is the 08 ego a lot better then the 07 ego and is the 07 ego better the a proto PMR??? Also any good web sites you might know where i could buy any of these guns or other for cheap or used.
A Proto Rail (PMR) is a very nice gun for a veteran. Its about 400bucks. I think its about 27bps. The Etek ego is basically crap. Its like a starter gun. A Ego Etek 2 08 is almost as good as the DM8, its 1,800 bucks, but its crazy good. Out of these three, the Ego Etek 2 is the best but 1,800 bucks. Go with the Proto Rail or a SLG.
The primary differences between the Etek1 and ETek2 is the milling, weight, and the internals of the regulators.
The Etek1 operates similar to the Ego 06 and shares alot of the same components. It is a great marker.
A new Etek1 runs between $524-$595 and the ETek2 $675. IMHO, for price and the slight differences between the two models, the ETek1 is a better buy.
The newer model Egos are going to have some improvements — design changes, milling cutting marker weight, etc. over the previous models, so from that stand point the newer model is generally better, but for the average player, nothing that will make or break your game. Any Ego model and year is a great choice. What it really comes down to is how much you are willing to spend and if you need the newest marker on the market.
The Proto Matrix Rail is a mid-level marker while the Egos are higher end. So comparing the two is like comparing apples to oranges.
Don’t get me wrong, for the price, the PMR is a great marker, that like the Ego and ETek, requires little or no upgrades, especially if you purchase the Special Edition version.
