That said, he wasn't flashy enough to be the champ. (WCW however gave him the honor of pinning Flair and Hogan back to back, which was cool.) Curt Henning (Mr. Perfect) was a World Champion. (AWA World Champion, but technically a world champion.) Scott Hall could never have been trusted with the top belt. His problems with the bottle disqualified him from consideration, as did the fact that he was significantly behind his "cliquemates" in popularity. Piper was too eratic a charecter to get more than a quick dance with the belt. Owen Hart was not world champ potential. (On the other hand, Ronnie Garvin was a world champ, so who am I to say anyone wasn't world champ potential.) As for Magnum TA, I think he would have got there, but his forced retirement made it impossible to tell. But yeah, these were some of the best guys never to hold the big belt.
