Why are politicians afraid to do something about illegal immigration?

Let’s face it. Regardless of which political party, politicians are reluctant to seriously deal with the issue of illegal immigration despite the fact that most people (except the illegals themselves, or those that hire them) want something done.

Is it because business lobbyists are too powerful?
Is it because politicians want the Hispanic vote too much?

Are we soon going to be pressing “1″ for Espanol and “2″ for “English”, on our phones?

Because they want to be “politically correct”. DOWN WITH ALL ILLGALS. THEY ALL NEED TO BE DEPORTED NO MATTER WHERE THEY ARE FROM.

I think that something really fishy is going on, don’t you guys? Something is not at all right. There is a reason why they are not doing the people’s will. There needs to be a HUGE rally in Washington. Does anyone know of any organization that is doing this? I suppose we just need to keep the pressure on our elected officials.

Because they are worried about the voting block that comes from the Latino’s. I have been carefully monitoring how everyone in my State is voting, if they are in any way shape or form “PRO” they sure won’t get my vote!

I have residences in both the US and Canada, the day I have to press 2 for English is the day I give up on the US!

  4. Janelle Mcdonagh Said:

Because they are paid to ignore the problem. Businesses that hire illegals contribute to campaigns in order to secure that old “blind eye”.

They don’t want to offend a block of voters. A lot of voters are a single issue voter that is they vote for whoever agrees with them on a single issue.

So if the politicians say I’m going to deport all illegal aliens, they just lost all the votes from people who think we need to grant some kind of amnesty to those who are in this country illegally. If they come out and say they are for some kind of amnesty they just lost the votes of people who think we need to deport all illegal aliens. So they lose, lose, in that situation what would you do? Nothing or you’ll tell the voters you’re studying the issue. Maybe the voters will forget, maybe it’ll go away and maybe there will be a big swing in public opinion and then you make a stand, that way you lose the fewest votes. And he will be able to go to the other group and say with a straight face, I have to listen to the people, if you care about this issue you need to get the word out and change people’s minds so I can help you fix this problem. Now he’s done everything he can to lose the fewest votes.

But, you are forgetting what a politician’s main job is, no it’s not to help the people, it’s to get re-elected. That’s why politician seldom take on tough issues. Think about it, no matter what stand they take, for or against they are wrong in someone’s eyes. Now in the next election their opponent can point and say to this group see he didn’t vote the way you wanted, and tell the next group he’ll be even tougher on the issue. And as long as he’s careful, both groups will believe him.

I’ve said this before: I’ll say it again. The GOP wants cheap labor and the dissolution of labor and trade unions. The Dems want a huge underclass, which provides liberal votes.

I wonder how many politicians have money tied up in major corporations. If they would stop illegals from coming over the border then the wage for the emploees would almost double and the profit would go down. Why do you think as an associate for a department store that is nation wide, we get an annual bonus for maybe about 200.00 and some stores get nothing but the ceo who already makes a ton of money gets a bonus for 20 million and millions in stock as a bonus. He does not put in the hard work as he travels to the stores and makes his speeches. Look at Hillary Clinton. She wants the union vote but she has done a lot to stop unions. The white woman speaks with forked tongue like all in Washington. Thats words that were spoken almost 200 years ago and it still rings true today. But its not just this iisue you can look at theft at all the stores. We pay higher price for items but the criminal get little time. I can give you an example. A person finally gets a job at a place like say Dollar General. She finally gets off welfare, gets herself a car, able to buy clothes at an actual store instead of at goodwill, able to buy stuff for her children and able to stop spending our tax dollars. Lets say the store has inventory and the store shrinks out(money and inventory unaccounted for)at a % that is unaccepted by the company. Everyone is fired. It doesn’t matter if she is 100% honest and did not take anything. Now she has to go back on welfare, lose her new apartment, her kids have to start buying used clothes again which at school can cause major humiliation by the other kids who could pick on them, and she loses her self esteem and fails to make it in this world because the system lets people steal over and over and over before they do something about it. Its not a crime that has no victim. I believe if we start a web site where all law enforcement, neighborhood watches, and anyone who is really concerned can sign their name and then it is sent to all politicians we can change the laws. Something like if you are caught stealing, gun crimes, dealing drugs while living in a government home, etc then the 1st time you are off the benefits for lets say 90 days. The 2nd time for a year. The 3rd time 3 years. The next time you are denied benefits for life. 3 strikes and you are out. If this was to happen then your taxes would stretch farther and the prices we pay would be less or would not increase at such a rate. The same could be done for people who want to live in this country. If you are here and you have a green card and you get caught doing a crime such as theft, gun crimes or weapon crimes then maybe they should lose the right to be here. Or maybe they lose some benefits the first time and the laws explained to them through a class and the next time they lose the right to live here. Like I was saying about sending an email with signatures on it, if we had 20 million of them and we sent an email to each person in congress and the senate we could change the laws. All we would have to do is send all democrates one and it would tell them if they dont change the laws then we will vote republican or independent. The same is sent to the republicans sayin we will vote democrate or independent if they dint change the laws. One person can not make a difference but a group of people can. In other words WE CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!!! Buts that only my thought. If you like what I just said and want to open a web site then let me know and I will join forces with everyone.

Probably 90% of the politicians are vote prostitutes. Most have no ethics or morals, they put on a false show for the public.

They have come to believe in the Hispanic Vote.

  9. Hannah Darby Said:

well in case you haven’t noticed immigration has deported like a thousand people this year and they keep deporting more and more people. illegals can’t rent no more or get a license , or get a job…..but the government is quiet about it… bush raised immigration founds and officers… well i know a bunch of people that are going back to their country because they can’t get jobs no more…so they are doing something…..

  10. Miley Irwin Said:

Because it is not an easy decision, USA has thousand of electors/voter with Hispanic origin, many US companies depend on the job of the illegal people to exist, there are many important Mexican companies in USA, there are many US companies in Mexico, both countries are close commercial partners…

Each time they almost decide something, thousand of people complain, the same which direction!

Do you think is a strong Spanish influence in your country? I am Mexican and live since 8 years in Europe, the German people adopted thousand of English words “checken”, “updaten”, parkieren”…

Mexico is very near you and you can see the same phenomena: “pushame”, “OK”… It is a mutual influence, we have already in our phones the choice between English and Spanish… Come and visit my country or Europe, the US influence is very strong and it is one of the reason of call your country imperialist.

You see only one side because you are in your “cube”… That´s my friend is the globalisation, many countries are afraid to lose their national identity, and about the higher birthrate of the foreigners: Germany -Turks, England- Indian, Swiss-Portugueses, Spain- Latinamericans….

It seems we can´t stop it.

  11. Makai Hardy Said:

There are approximately 12 million illegal aliens in our country. That is a heck of a lot deportations and it will cost a group of money. How can these illegals vote in the first place? I like to see all of them sent back to their respective countries. Also, I would get after all of these countries that these illegals are coming from? What is Mexico doing to keep its own citizens from fleeing?

  12. Keyon Hannington Said:

They know what the economic impact it will have on the U.S. economy, That is why there will be some type of immigration reform If the Democrats win the next Election.

  13. Annabel Whittle Said:

their afraid of being “politically incorrect” and people calling them “racisist”. I agree that something needs to be done. They even wanted us to start saying The Pledge in Spanish!

  14. Jayson Gregory Said:

It is an overwhelming issue. They basically need immigrants. They have waited too long and now they have no idea what to do. Oh well!

  15. Savanna Hawkes Said:

Tancredo, Ron Paul, and Hunter have the most conservative voting records on immigration.

Of these three, Ron Paul has the best chance of winning the Primary election.
Paul’s campaign has almost 5 times as much money to spend as Tancredo.

The NAFTA Superhighway might be another significant threat to American borders.

  16. Anton Jenkins Said:

Duncan Hunter is not afraid. Neither is Tom Trancredo. You won’t see either of them on Univision, I guarantee you.

  17. rhee Said:

Politicians want the hispanic vote too much! As we all know, these people always pretend to be good in front of the press. But in reality, they do nothing to help or save the country. With illegal immigration, they are very reluctant about this issue maybe because they have something to benefit from this. I bet!
